"ONE HAPPY MOVIE"
Documentary Film
Premieres November 22
10am @ The Enzian Theater
$6 General Admission

The documentary film “One Happy Movie”, documents the 10-day journey by student filmmakers, from the University of Central Florida and Full Sail, visiting 12 states, more than 40 towns or cities, interviewing over 360 people at various locations including churches, businesses, universities, historical landmarks, and the grandest city of them all, New York. All this to discuss something so simple, yet rarely asked… “What makes you happy?”

One simple question bought joy, laughter, tears, memories, and numerous other emotions to the individuals we met. The experience was truly unbelievable and the reception by the many cities and local communities was very heart-warming. Who knew such a simple concept would spawn such deliberating thought and happiness for a documentary that started as a simple concept in the summer of 2001. Before September 11th changed the world, before war changed our lives, before times were supposed to be different.

The documentary is being called “the greatest reason to believe in happiness” by student filmmaker and executive producer Aaron Mighty. He states, “the journey alone was like a roller coaster of ups and downs with tons of laughter in between” and guarantees that the film will provoke similar emotions into an audience.

The film, which has already sparked a great deal of debate and national attention, will premiere on Saturday, November 22 in the Orlando, FL area.

The student filmmakers will then continue to share their discoveries and experience by touring the same production route to showcase the film within select cities throughout December and January while also hitting the film festival scene. To learn more about the documentary film visit: http://www.onehappymovie.com

The student filmmakers found no shortage of happiness throughout their travel, even in the nation's capitol as Michael Goodman, IRS volunteer, said “helping others and that sense of fulfillment” made him happy, while Lawrence Doherty artistically proclaimed “music.” John Bedford of Daytona Beach, stated “the first time my grandson recognized me.” Joseph and Barbara Derrow, Broadway, VA, described happiness as “being married for 48 years.” In Brooklyn, NY, “great friends” made Amy Fantin happy.

Hello All,
I wanted to send an email out to everyone who's been a supporter of our 'Saints & Sinners Film Festival'. Whether it be as a sponsor or moral support, we appreciate all of you being a part of this. We started out with something we thought we could put together to have some fun and show some films. It's turned into a string of successful festivals that has given opportunities to dozens of promising young filmmakers and screened over 50 Independent films and has even begun to get National recognition. We have a great thing going and are hoping to keep the ball rolling and raising the bar with each one.

For 'Saints & Sinners 4' we have the most impressive lineup of films we have had to date. We have the North American debut of a smash hit short from the United Kingdom that will play in the United States for the first time at 'SS4'. We have three of the most inventive and funny shorts I have ever seen in 'The Animal Grappler 1 & 2' and 'Farmer McCallister's Thinking Machine' that are sure to be crowd favorites and we have the Feature Film 'The Ghouls' that is premiering in LA later this month to some already solid revues and will be our Main Event. Throw in many other very solid films and some Industry surprise guests and we have a day of extra-ordinary Independent film fun and enjoyment lined up for the eager film community.

What we need now is the sponsors to step forward and help us bring this event to life so that we can continue what we've started. We want to build upon this wonderful event that helps the struggling film community and brings attention to those filmmakers who are out there doing everything they can to have their 15 minutes. Help us continue to give that to them and bring more attention to the growing film community here at home. Advertising such as posters, flyers and programs need to be purchased. Trophies and other awards need to as well and we can use all the help we can get.

Sponsorship packages are outlined on the web site that I have provided below. If you are interested in getting involved as a sponsor then please get in touch with me as soon as possible as the Festival is right around the corner. If getting involved as a sponsor isn't something you're interested in at this point then helping spread the word to others you think may be interested is just as helpful.

Either way we are happy to have been associated with all of you and we hope you continue to be a part of this event as we hope to help it grow and be a force in the Florida film Community for years to come.

Thanks for everything.

Rick Danford
