Creature's Corner

HELLO To all the PCR family:
Ah, another year down the tubes and still we can enjoy the freedom of reading and writing about things dear to us. I have enjoyed writing to all of you from inside the libraries and studies of the castle and hope to continue these etchings for many years to come. The year 2003 was full of strange events including my return to these pages. I've had a good time and look forward to this year. I would like to give a tip of the hat to the boss for providing a place where all us "Crazed Fans" can hang out and converse.

I would talk about the year gone by but I think it will be well covered by my fellow writers. Instead I'd like to talk about some of the things I'm looking forward to in 2004.

Comics
Superman is going through a major overhaul next year with Jim Lee handling the art chores and Brian Azarello handling the writing. Lee had a major impact on Batman last year so I think we can all look forward to another stellar performance with "THE MAN OF STEEL."

Michael Turner is also turning his sights on the DC Universe and will be drawing a six issue story arc for the newly revised Superman/Batman title with Jeph Loeb handling the writing assignment. Good stuff guys.

If that ain't enough CONAN is coming back with writer Kurt Busiek and artist Cary Nord. The twenty-five cent prequel did very well.

We also have the Ultimate Fantastic Four being released. The Ultimate X-Men and Ult. Spidey have been huge successes so I think a repeat with the FF is not out of the question.

Movies
Then we have comics once again taking over the movie screens around the country in 2004. Spider-Man 2, Hellboy, and The Punisher will all be brought to the big screen over the next year. Another great year for comic-based movies. Buy your tickets early people.

Like I said, though another year slips into the swirling vortex known as the past we can really look forward to a great 2004. I hope everyone in the PCR family has a safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I will.

C-Ya next year! I mean next week!
