Creature's Corner

Good Morning to ALL:
Or; Good Evening, Good Afternoon, Good Morning...whatever. I hope everyone is having a good day anyway. Here at the "Castle" things have been a little topsy-turvy (?). Two close allies of all who reside within these walls have lost fathers this last week and all of us here are just a little down. Ah... such is the cycle of life, that never ending wheel that spins around us, occasionally rolling over rough spots and bumps in the road. We pause briefly, remembering, and then move on. The good thing is the memories are forever and nothing stops that. Immortality is just a fond remembrance away.

"Sky High"
So...What did we do to cheer Our Spirits (as if they need any cheering in the first place) and celebrate the lives of our fallen heroes; We packed everybody (and every Thing) into the Paddy Wagon and went to the movies to see "SKY HIGH." What a great spiritually uplifting movie it was indeed. "SKY HIGH" is the story of a very special "High" school that floats high above the earth in the clouds (Kinda like the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier). The student body is comprised of the offspring of super-heroes and offers them a chance to categorize, and then deal, with their budding "powers." They can go to hero classes, villain classes, or sidekick classes. Of course, being a Disney movie, we follow the lives of those lowly sidekicks and their rise to hero status. This is a fun movie and the special effects are pretty good.

Director Mike Mitchell did a superb job of molding the story written by Paul Hernandez, Bob Schooley, and Mark McCorkle into an action-packed vehicle to display the acting talents of Kurt Russell, Kelly Preston, relative newcomer Danielle Panabaker, and Michael Angarano who plays Will Stronghold. Surprisingly two fan favorites also grace the screen; Lynda Carter, and Ash himself, Bruce Campbell as Coach Boomer.

Go see this one guys, it's lots of fun. On the Creature scale I give this one a full "Three Screams."

Anyway, I still don't have my online back yet so this is another short one. Sorry about that.

Have a Great week. C-Ya in Seven. Oi!
