LET THE WOOKIE WIN!
The above was great advice when offered to R2D2 during his chess match with Chewbacca in the original "Star Wars." Apparently director George Lucas has taken his own words to heart because actor Peter Mayhew, who played Han Solo's furry companion in episodes IV, V and VI has told Imdb.com that Lucas has asked him to return as the lovable Wookie in the yet entitled episode III, which will be released in 2005. No word on whether Chewbacca's first scene will have him strangling Jar Jar Binks! (We can always hope!--N)

MAKING THAT MONEY
In an even bolder attempt to have the highest-grossing opening in film history, Warner Brothers has announced that "The Matrix: Reloaded" will now premiere at 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14th. The film was originally scheduled to open on Thursday, the 15th. Not sure if even this will boost the gross higher then the $100 million plus that "Spider-Man" did opening weekend. Like its predecessor, "Reloaded" is Rated R, thereby keeping a lot of those kiddy dollars out of the box-office. In other "Matrix" news, Warners also announced that the second sequel, "Revolutions," will open simultaneously in movie theatres and in the IMAX format.

PASSING ON
Peter Stone
, who was the first person to win an Academy Award, Tony and Emmy for writing, passed away this week from pulmonary fibrosis. He was 73. A long time collaborator with musician Maury Yeston, Stone won Tony awards for his books to the musicals "1776," "Woman of the Year" and "Titanic." He won an Emmy award in 1961 for "The Defenders" and won an Oscar in 1964 for his screenplay "Father Goose."
Trevin Dilfer, 5-year-old son of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Trent Dilfer, died Sunday after a brief battle with heart disease. My prayers go out to the Dilfer family.

Well, that's it for now. Enjoy "X2!" See ya!
