Greetings from the Castle. You can go back The next time someone tells you that you can't go back, tell them they're wrong. Sometimes you can go back, and it might even be a cheaper ride than the first time around.
Have a Great Week. C-Ya!!!
I ventured forth from the castle last week in order to take a trip back in time. Someone I know wanted to go to a music shop so he could check out some new music recommended by me. (It was all I could due to hide my devious smile.) I showed him several of the newer bands that I have been listening to in recent years: Rhapsody, Hammerfall, Dimmu Borgir, Blind Guardian, and of course King Diamond. (Long live the King.) He was extremely interested and came away with some new material to aid in the bleeding of his ears.
While we were out we stopped at a place that had used CD's to see if we could get any further deals. They had lots of old albums (yes, people, we're talkin' 100% vinyl here.) They had all kinds of stuff ranging all the way back to the early seventies with a few scattered sixties goodies. The best part was they were ptractically free. I started diving in leaving my friend to fend for himself. I was having a great time as I surrounded myself in the world of nostalgia. After over an hour I walked away with Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, old Tull, Dokken, and even an old copy of Ursa Major. What really excited me was the fact that these albums were in such good shape. Many of these will be replacements for some well-worn grooves I have.
