Hello One and All: At that point he tried to attack me out of frustration. It took a couple ghouls and a Zombie to cool him down. I'll tell you one thing about Goblins; they're a thick-headed bunch. I still don't think he knows who W.H.O. is.
Sahara Rounding out our cast of heroes was William H. Macy as Adm. Sandecker and the lovely Penelope Cruz as Dr. Eva Rojas of the World Health Organization. (Don't worry, I ain't gonna open up that can of worms again.)
It seems that an old Iron-Clad from the civil war may have entered the Niger River after escaping heavy bombardment during the war, possibly loaded with treasure. That's how the adventure begins. It ends up with Dirk rescuing Dr. Rojas from the jaws of death after she makes a discovery as to the cause of a deadly illness that is spreading along the Niger River. Add to that a military takeover and a corporate scandal and you've got one heck of a tangled web to unravel. The adventure moves along at break-neck speed like a pulp novel of the 1940s. It's like Indiana Jones in the modern era.
Go see this one at all costs folks. This 120 million dollar adventure is fun for the whole family. I give it a hearty Four "Screams" on the Creature Scale.
Well, that's all for this week. I hope everyone has a great weekend. If you go to the Tampa Bay Comic And Toy Convention on Sunday I'll see you there. Have a Great Week!!! Oi!!!
C-Ya!
The "Creature"
I'll tell you what, living in the "Castle" with various residents both human and non-human (and yes, ectoplasmics to) is never a dull moment. The other day a bunch of us took off to see a movie and by the time we got back I was about ready to hand ole' Gorbly his head (goblins can be so pig-headed). We went to see "SAHARA" the mystery movie we'd been talking about over the last couple weeks. So we get there and watch the flick and then, on the way home, Gorbly starts in on me. Here is a sample of the conversation (if you can call it that):
Anyway, "SAHARA" is a GREAT movie, fun for the entire family. I really liked this one. It was full of action sprinkled with a healthy dose of Comedy, mystery and intrigue. Matthew McConaughey and Steve Zahn make a great team as Dirk Pitt and Al. I wouldn't be surprised if we see more Dirk Pitt adventures with this tag-team as creator Clive Cussler has written many books about the adventures of Dirk Pitt. The character was seen once before (years ago) in the movie "RAISE THE TITANIC." Richard Jordan played the adventurer in that outing.
