CrazedFanboy.Com Has Moved To a New Web Host
By the time you read this, the move should be complete, hopefully it was transparent, although I've been cautioned that web servers in some parts of the world may not recognize the change until near the end of the week. If this happens to someone you know, tell them please try not to panic, just that the website may be inaccessible for a short time until "DNS propagation" (tech-term, don't worry about it) is complete. This is probably going to screw with the domain email as well. (This only applies to nolan@crazedfanboy.com or creaturefeature@crazedfanboy.com. My AOL address, Crazedfanboy1@aol.com, is unaffected by this and will continue to function as usual.) The Message Board migration was the trickiest thing of all to complete, but with excellent tech support, this transition was achieved quickly and as glitch-free as possible. I have tons more space and bandwidth to work with on this website than I ever had before.
Everything was moved overnight, Tuesday to Wednesday, Between June 5th and 6th, 2007. In all of that, I only lost maybe three Message Board posts during the move, and as I recall, they were the very last ones by Paul Guzzo and Noeland Collins (if those gentlemen would like to repost, that would be great). A few avatars are still missing, unfortunately. I think we got everything else.
For those of you who bookmark pages, all previous links are still good, save one: The Creature Feature/Dr. Paul Bearer Database has a newly modified link that removes the "users" account nomenclature from the middle of the link. The new, permanent link to the DPB Database is http://www.crazedfanboy.com/creaturefeature/index.html. Please replace your previous bookmarked link with this one. We appreciate your support.
For personal reasons at the moment, I'm going to remain coy for a little while longer on who my webhosts were and are now. I'm a little paranoid about discussing such commercial issues (to me they're personal), but if you write to me and ask, I'll tell you what happened. For now, let's just say I had a good, long run with my previous host, lots of good memories, but their priorities have changed. The new kids on the block I'm very excited about.
As I said in last week's issue Tropical Storm Barry caused a massive delay in production as it deprived me of power for 30 hours. I'm looking forward to working on the return of It Came From The PO Box which, barring further catastrophe, should be out in this week's PCR.
Thank you for your patience, Nolan B. Canova
