Assistant Editor / Co-moderator: Terence Nuzum Established A.D. 2000, March 19. Now in our eleventh calendar year! Number 548 (Vol. 11, No. 39). This edition is for the week of September 20--26, 2010. Fall Commenting on my own post below. I woke up in time to catch the last half of episode 3 of Hellcats last night. Oh gawd, what was I thinking? I'm sorry now I ever mentioned it.
However, while recuperating, I surfed upon Law & Order: Special Victim's Unit and it was excellent! (I've seen this show before, but always forget what it's called.) This episode was about tracking down a serial pedophile-rapist that turned out to be the head of a local pedophile-watch vigilante group. OK, that ending was telegraphed about a quarter-way into the show, but the performances were great.
At one time, the Fall TV season was one of the most exciting times of the year for yours truly with dozens of new shows I'd look forward to checking out. Being out of the 18--49 age demographic, however, has changed the interactive dynamic between me and the boob-tube for quite some time. I did check out "Hellcats" (Ashley Tisdale as a college student having to secure a scholarship through cheerleading), liked the T&A and the soap opera, haha. I saw the first episode, missed the second. And I always loved "House MD" (or just "House" as I think it's called now). I don't think I've ever seen a bad show.
What TV are all y'all watching?
"Financial experts" (whoever they are) have announced that the American recession officially ended in June 2009! Doesn't that make everyone feel better?
The unemployed and the real estate market continue to sing songs of despair, so I'm not sure how this event manifested in real life. To me, the economy is back on track once people are back to work and buying stuff.
This holiday season should be a real eye-opener.
