PHOTOS ON THE WAY...

In this episode of TWON, the primary topic my guests and I talked about was the recent release of "Star Wars: Episode II--Attack of the Clones"; how it fared among the other Star Wars entries and how it stood on its own. Also discussed were technological advances George Lucas has made benefiting digital motion pictures. This episode of TWON marks the first appearance of old friend John Hooper on the program. This was "Deadguy" Scott's fourth appearance and Eric Avant's second in two years. Deadguy and Eric are filmmakers with several episodes of "The Front" to their credit. "The Front" is the public access show they tape in Pinellas County. Towards the end of this show, we played an extended clip from "The Front" featuring one of their funniest bits: "The Empire Strikes Back" done entirely with action figures and playsets!

Mike "Deadguy" Scott has been a writer for my online newsletter Nolan's Pop Culture Review for a little over a year. Eric Avant continues to play in a heavy metal band called "Yeti". "Yeti" helped score my first movie for public access.

Our musical guest, John Land, who I met literally minutes before airtime, is a find of my technical director, David Andrews. John is a very talented singer-songwriter-guitarist with a CD out called "Found". He performed two numbers and was kind enough to leave some promotional CDs (two songs from the album) for us to keep.

For further information on John Land's CD, write to john@johnland.com. I think he's available over at Amazon, as well.
