Repeat: Saturdays, 5:00-6:00pm, Ch. 19 (Tampa only)

Hi! Nolan here. The Spring 2002 TV season is history and "The World of Nolan", my talk show series on Tampa's Public Access television, completed its full run with a lot of positive support! It was broadcast every Thursday at 6:00-7:00pm, on Channel 20, starting April 4th thru June 20th. Repeats were every Saturday afternoon at 5:00pm on Ch. 19. I'm pleased with how all the episodes went and the show has been mentioned in various local media (check the Crazed Fanboy homepage, 2002 for details)! We may all yet meet again.

"THE WORLD OF NOLAN" ON HIATUS.
I wanted to take a break from Public Access during the summer of 2002 to work on the website and some videos. I had planned on a possible Fall return when some unfortunate events upset the applecart. The latest first one below had the best news (which ultimately vindicated the station and inspired a desire to return someday):

UPDATE: 10-31-02. A judge has ordered an injuction against the County Commissioners saying basically that the lawsuit filed by the facility would eradicate any "taxes" saved by the Commissioner's funding cut and that the access center would likely win the lawsuit anyway. County residents are now re-allowed to use the facility.

UPDATE: 8-7-02. Another funding vote by the county commissioners saw the previous one overturned. Funding will be cut. Public Access will go on, but in a limited fashion. Hillsborough County residents will no longer be able to produce at the Tampa facility. Since my crew was comprised entirely of county residents, this ensures The World of Nolan remains indefinitely suspended until something can be arranged or the situation changes at the station.

UPDATE: 7-31-02. I am currently experiencing another major life change as far as employment goes. Once again, a job I'd held for several years was eliminated due to economic shuffling. While the Crazed Fanboy website will continue regardless, what I move on to, and what schedules/pay I have to accept in a "day job" will have an enormous impact on whether I can produce any more episodes of "The World Of Nolan" for Public Access TV. Therefore, the production is in limbo.

UPDATE: 7-24-02. The county commissioners' votes came in, and the facility was found not to be in breach of contract (re: ongoing obscenity controversy, et.al.). As I understand it, funding will continue, and life as we've known it at Tampa's Public Access TV will continue.

This page will stay up for the forseeable future. Check back here for updates as they happen.--Nolan B. Canova
